The Marine Support Vessel (MSV) is one of the latest addtions to the SVITZER product portfolio. It allows us to provide our customers with complete marine solutions.

At SVITZER we strive everyday to meet our customers's demands through close cooperation with both the customers and ship designers. This has lead to a completely new SVITZER vessel that can act as a platform for all types of offshore terminal maintenance work, but also function as a highly effective towing tug. This design has been named the Marine Support Vessel, or MSV.

The MSV is capable of performing standard towage, but it can also be used in connection with:

• SPM, FSPO and FSO operations
• Anchor handling operations
• Rig Moves
• Transport of cargo to and from rigs
• Oil Recovery/Clean up

Tailor Made Solutions

The tug can be designed specifically to deliver towage to tankers in SPM operations, but also for hose handling and SPM maintenance. To accommodate such needs the MSV is fitted with side and stern gates and rollers, a drip tray for splitting hoses on deck, and a high level of deck machinery, including two cranes. An MSV can deliver from 65 to 120 t.
