The platform MAR EL TEIDE under tow from Tenerife to Rota naval shore (Spain) broke it’s towwire on 28th of November. The 34.2m long and 20m high platform MAR EL TEIDE came to rest on a sand bank roughly 50m from the shore off Cadiz. A Svitzer Salvage team was mobilised to advise the owners on site. Sunday 6th of November the MAR DEL TEIDE was pulled off the beach near Cadiz, Spain under supervision of the salvage team.
